Hornchurch Town Centre Rebrand.

Rebranding & Graphic Design.

Rebranding & Graphic Design.

Overview

Pinpoint was approached by Hackney Council to do the rebrand of Hornchurch town centre with the aim of encouraging civic pride, promoting local events and increasing the number of locals using the town’s shops.

Problem

There had been a lot of qualitative and quantitive research that suggested that the majority of Hornchurch residents commuted outside of the town for work and that only an older minority used the town’s shops, restaurants and theatre.

Solution

A campaign was formulated to cultivate civic pride and entice individuals to revisit the town centre. This initiative encompassed establishing a distinct town brand and leveraging it to enhance community events, introduce a retail loyalty program, and festive celebrations. We were responsible for crafting the identity, developing the strapline, and producing all brand assets for this purpose.

"Pinpoint has worked on a number of high profile projects with Hackney Council over the last few years. Working with local government can be challenging at the best of times, due to the nature of the work we do, and the number of different stakeholders we work with. They get this! It is reflected not only in the high quality of the creative work, but also in their ability to quickly assess how to work with clients and manage their expectations.

I have been on both sides of the equation, once as a designer, and now as a client. I would highly recommend Pinpoint to any organisation based on the work we have done, and that which we will continue to do in the future."
